Experimenting with Type

The first two A5 pages you see on this constatina, were mainly influenced by the work of Gemma Lamimer... her simple use of collage in general is the type of this i feel my work is appropriate alongside... to keep within my theme of 'minamalism' and that of a contempory style.

The second A5 pages, to the right, are genrally my standard method of including text with my illustrations. I'm not going to disguard these just to try something different, i know they compliment my work, and by drawing out the alphabet, this will save me time drawing out all the text within my piece (if i choose to use this design).

On the reverse of this constatina, is my start to a rough second draft ... Here is an example of some of the other type i am going to experiement with, as my work is boutique inspired etc, vintage type would fit in with the theme perfectly.

When i'm back in Southampton, in about a weeks time, i am going to scan this alphabet i have drawn... to see whether its the type i will be using for the text i want big on my flyer.
